My New Z87 Rig

Hello Everyone!

I am about to build a new gaming rig for my gaming setup.

The reason I am building a new one is because I built a computer that looked like this.

NOTE: THIS IS MY OLD RIG. MY NEW PARTS WILL BE COMING TO ME ON WEDNESDAY. PLEASE READ THE POST.   :)  :)

EvujSNE.jpg

- Intel Core i5 2400

- Fractial Design define r3

- OCZ 750w power supply

- 8gb Patriot RAM

- 1TB Caviar Black HDD

- XFX Radeon 6850

- NZXT Fan Controller

- Corsair H60

- 1 Noctua fan (For H60)

- 2 Corsair AF 140's

And I am just not happy with it

So, I talked to my Dad and we made an agreement that i would give him this rig and I could go out and purchase a computer with a $2000 Budget.

This is his piece of junk right now... It runs at about 60-75 Degrees Celcius 24/7...    <_<

So here is the parts for my new computer:

[CPU] - Intel i5 4670k

[MOBO] - MSI Z87 MPOWER MAX

[RAM] - Avexir Yellow 16GB  (8 x 2)

[HDD] - One Kingston 120gb SSD and a 1TB Caviar black (the black was from my old build)

[GPU] - MSI GTX 770 Power Edition

[CASE] - Corsair 650d

[CPU COOLER] - Corsair H100i

[PSU] - Seasonic 760w platinum power supply

Misc.

- 3 Noiseblocker PL-2 120mm fans

- Bitfenix Black extension cables (1 24 Pin, 2 8Pin CPU, and 2 8Pin GPU)

- NZXT Hue

- Aquacomputer Aquaero 5 Pro ( I bought the black front to go with the 650d)

-  Some random modsmart SS cable bundlers

And finally Windows 8 Pro

Now some people are going to ask, "Why go with windows 8?"

1. I wanted windows 8 because I just got bored with windows 7 and wanted to try something new.

2. I have a spare copy of windows 7 lying around so if I want to change I can.

Stay tuned for more! The parts should be coming Thursday!    :)

Unless you live somewhere other than the US/Canada, the build you've currently planned isn't really worth $2000. I'd try to get a 780 in there, or at least a 9000 series card.

For 2.5k, you can build a system with 2 780s and a 4770k. You are doing this so wrong.

personally i would much rather pay a bit extra and get a wd black 2tb instead of green. 128 gig of storage just isnt enough so it must be annoying having a 5400 rpm drive to store up your games on(slow loading times)

First of all, I wanted an ATX Build.  And Black and Yellow theme. I dont need 2 GTX 780s for a 1080p Screen. Aa GTX 770 Is good enough for me. Im going for more asthetics than performance

If you look at how much i am paying for fans, cables, aquaero etc... The parts actually totaled up to $1500 and the acessories i didnt need were about $500 and plus shipping was about $2300 for the total build
