So, I recently decided to star livestreaming again, and the first time I went to open Xsplit in a matter of months, this showed up:

Followed by

And then finally

So I thought this might have just been localized to Xsplit, so I tried to launch FFsplit.

But this time, instead of completely closing down, FFsplit opens, and acts normally, until I go to try and start the stream.

I have also tried streaming with Wirecast and Adobe Flash Live Media Encoder, but both don't work.

If it is something that I have installed, it would be almost impossible to track it down, as I installed Xsplit when I first got my computer, and left it for like 6 months, and then went to use it the other day.

My PC specs are:

Intel i5 3570k @ 4.4GHz

Asus P8Z77-V LX

Kingston HyperX 1600MHz 8GB

Gigabyte GTX 660 Ti (Running 320.49 Drives), No overclock.

Corsair GS700

Samsung 840 120GB

I have tried to re-install DirectX, Windows SDK, DirectX SDK, I've re installed all of the livestreaming programs.

Any ideas? Thanks in advance :)

You shuold probably use Open Broadcasting Software. Thats the name of the program. It doesnt have any limitations like X-split does, In terms of quaility, sound, etc. Also, you dont need to pay for higher end features.

Ahh, forgot to mention, I've also tried OBS with no luck.

Try updating your drivers. Then go to Start-Search for 'dxdiag' - Go to display tab- Then under dirextX features look for direct3d... I'm not entirely sure if this process is still applicable for Windows 8

I thought that's what it would say, I just wanted to make sure it was actually enabled... The only thing I can think of and have found as solutions on the internet is to

1. Clean re-install windows or something

2. Restore Windows back to last know good configuration

3. Run a whole heap of software that undoubtably has several metric f**ktonnes(f**ktons depending on where you live) of bloatware
