Windows 7 Mouse GLITCH!! HELP!!!!

I have a windows 7 operating system. In the lower right of my screen there is a "BOX" that i cannot click anything in. Its like an invisible void.. I cannot click anything there when using the internet, skype, battlelog from BF3. However in a video game things work fine.. So help me.... The one change that has occured was a mouse change a week before the issue began... However the mouse works fine it seems and its almost as if there is an invisible box. MCafee has warned me every day that there is a virus and i click remove but it willnot let me remove it.... Maybe Mcafee is the issue? Help please. thanks.

Some virus' target antivirus' but that isn't likely. Scan computer, clean it. Try MCafee, if not try a free one like Avast or a cloud one like Panda.
