So MGS V is released on september 1st, but I live in Finland which means that the release time here will be at 7am which sucks because I wanted to try the game out at midnight.

Is there any-way(s) to like fake my location (VPN) to fool steam that my location would be New Zealand which apparently gets the game first.

I haven't found a VPN that has New Zealand in them...

This may sound stupid but I've waited the game so long that the last hours feels like eternity .

For your VPN problem: You could try VyprVPN. It isn't free, but they offer a free 3 day trial. https://www.goldenfrog.com/vyprvpn. You have to give them your bank data, however, but you can cancel your selected plan before the trial time ends and you won't pay a penny.

So with good VPN the steam can be fooled? Do I need to change some settings in steam?

If it has a global release time then a vpn will not work.

Oh right, maybe I just got wrong information.

But in global release, shouldn't it release everywhere around the same time?
