I've recently built a new pc with a EVGA GTX 960 4GB and I have some issues whenever I try to play a video at 1080p or higher. As soon as the video plays on a media player, the screen flickers and the video settings change. The text on screen get sharper and frame rate on youtube 1080p videos drops from 60 to 30. As soon as I close the video, the screen flickers and goes back to normal. I've tried changing the settings on nvidia control panel and nothing changes. This happens on Firefox, Media player classic, and Windows media player, this does not happen on Chrome. I'm on the latest Nvidia drivers. Anyone know how to fix this. If it's important to know, I'm on Windows 8 enterprise evaluation. I can take a video of the problem if it helps me fix this.
