Sheila Tablet "Remote Disable"

I own a shield tablet that has been recalled, and Nvidia is currently in the process of sending me a new one. They said in their email to me that once I receive my new tablet, my old one will be "remotely disabled". Just wondering what this means?

They will remotely disable the tablet via an internet connection to prevent other users from using the faulty equipment, as well as being put at risk of having exploded battery in their face.

any way to block the remote disable so I can have 2 tablets?

ps. I guarantee nobody will have a battery exploded in their face. The worst you would get is some melted plastic.

I think the feature gets enabled after an update they send out, so don't update the tab
