No Headphone Audio on Computer?

Hey guys. I finished my first computer build around 3 months ago, and ever since, I haven't been able to get audio on my headphones. Audio works on my computer monitor (played on speakers) but when I plug in my headphones I get no sound. Help? I've tried nothing.

through hdmi on monitor is through hd audio drivers ( graphics card ), example i can turn off my soundcard and still get sound through hd audio drivers on my gpu but then it will only work through my hdmi cable/monitor

 

u probably dont have onboard soundcard drivers installed ( or it enabled in the bios )

onboard soundcard drivers ( check if its enabled in bios aswell )   unless u have a extra soundcard on pciexpress though then u gotta install those first x)

I am sounding like an idiot, here, but where the hell do I find those? Download them from a website or go into my BIOS?

they should have came with the motherboard u have bought ( motherboard disc ) else download them from ur motherboards website, if u havent installed the drivers that came with the motherboard there could be a good chance u havent installed ur chipset drivers aswell ( they are pretty darn important )
