noise blocker Eloops are really good.

pretty sure that isn't in 140mm size. Phanteks make the best 140mm fans, but they don't work well with radiators. I would take a look at noiseblocker silent pro's like what @marto said.

The SIlent wings frame leaves alot of room for air leakage due to it's unique mounting design so wouldn't suit a radiator all that well unfortunately

Perhaps look at some noiseblocker BlackSilentPRO fans?

Whats wrong with the silent wings? the look amazing and are really quiet

Only for use in a push situation. Removable fan blades do make for easy rad cleaning though :)

Well you could say why not to use in pull. :P The fan blades droop slightly lower than the frame of the fan itself so the fan will hit the radiator causing  a grinding noise.

they don't  have good static pressure on the 140mm fans which is what matters with radiators the noiseblocker silent pros have a higher static pressure rating so the temps will be better.

I've never actually encountered the grinding noise myself, more so a whining noise which is apparently a result of the fan only having 6 blades and meaning any resistance to it's airflow will make the blades make such noises.

I've always heard reports of the fan hitting the radiator so fan was hitting the fins.

Because the frame is a really open design it will draw air from in the case instead of only through the radiator, which is ideal.

Ideally for radiators you want a fan that makes contact as far around it's frame as possible to eliminate the possibilty of drawing in outside air, that's why you often find people using rubber gaskets on radiators :D

Aren't they loader?

they will be a bit louder, but you can't really hear any fans under 25db anyways from a normal pc enclosure.

It might be a mixture. I've encountered the same noise by placing a fan filter about a cm in front of the fan which is why I'm attributing it to the even amount of fan blades

It's just a really unusual fan lets leave it at that.

According to FrozenCPU they run at 27dBA

You can undervolt them. The 27db would be if they are at 100% load. It's hard to make a quiet fan with good static pressure since they have to be designed to push air through the small amounts of air in the rad.

Would it be better if I just set it up in a push configuration? Dust is not a issue

Pushing air through the rad instead of pulling?

It doesn't matter if you do push or pull their is no performance difference.
