Need some help with OBS

 So, I wanted to ask what settings you would recommend for video recording and also how to set up everything. I know there are tutorials but I'd prefer if I get a bit more info from people who use it on a regular basis. Also, how the F do I change my video save directory? It wants to save to C drive >.<

Not sure if this is the best just works for recording and streaming.

I think I found it, thanks. Question #2 - does it record any audio or is it all handled by Audacity? And how do I slice them together. MS won't let me get movie maker.

In the audio tab you can, but I prefer audacity and I use premiere pro to slice them together maybe you could send me the audio and video and I could slice them when your done with your video.

I am suggesting you change the setting and make it record .mp4 files. The default wouldn't work for my Mac.

Also if you use vlc the video won't show for some reason and you have to use windows media player or other to play the videos recorded in obs.

Hmm, VLC can't play. That's odd. I guess I'll have to use Windows media player then.

I would but wouldn't that take longer? I mean, I'm also not sure how to record so that the microphone doesn't pick up sound from the speakers. I guess a headset is mandatory?

Good point I didn't of that, but you could turn off your speakers, but then your getting rid of your game audio or what ever your recording.

Wait, if I turn the speakers off will Audacity still record the audio? That's workable.
