For whatever reason, my fresh install of Windows 10 is running very slow after about 3 restarts. I mean 5 minutes to get into the desktop after I inputted my password. I have an SSD, but my computer is basically broke until I figure out how to fix this or maybe you can. Nvidia has been trying to download the gtx 580 driver for me but that keeps failing along with geforce experience. I don't know how to resolve this. Please halp.

EDIT: I now get disk read errors when trying to boot.

You may have to reinstall W10, as for the drivers

(correct drivers may help with boot times)

1. download this, run it and hit next, hide updates, check the gtx 580 driver, next, it will now stop that driver from downloading.

2. right click start menu icon and hit device manager

3. click your display adapters and uninstall the driver for the video card.

4. download the latest driver from Nvidia's site

5. restart

6. install Nvidia drivers and follow the on screen instructions.

when installing the drivers I recommend to do a clean install by selecting Custom instead of Express and checking the box that says Perform a Clean Installation.

Ignore this, hit quote instead of edit.
