Windows 10 Account Mix-Up

After doing about 10 hours of work to get my pc to run win 10, I changed my old win 7 account over to a microsoft account. I log back in, and it denies me access to the documents created by the win 7 account, eg outlook, arma 3 saves, diablo saves. etc. Does anybody know of/have a fix to help fix this, and how do I get my data back?

the ms account upgrade worked fine for me.....

I went and picked whatever option to merge a microsoft account with an offline user, used the account i created while updating my laptop to 10 bc my dad wanted to see cortana, ran outlook to see that it worked, and then rebooted bc of some other issue. Now i can really only browse and run stuff like GeForce Experience because it locked me out of the user profile i updated.

Also I ended up running the "net users" tool and saw that my previous account WAS in fact there. I tried to use the same method of activating the hidden admin account, with no results.
