Surge protector not working?

Go to solution Solved by SImoHayha,

I have this surge protector: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812107131

I have three monitors, my 500w PC, router, and speakers plugged into it, works fine but the past two thunderstorms we have had, power momentarily turns off, in a circuit of my house, and then goes back on literally a second later. My pic was fine last time and is ok this time, but is this something to worry about? It is not just in my room, but in another room too.

that  is what it does lol. It cuts off the power to it to prevent damage to components. it doesn't do anything else but that. You're thinking of a UPS

They protect against power / amp surge's. Higher end ones can protect against voltage surge's.
