I am having troubles with chrome crashing so I am going back to a restore point. About 2 days I saw I restore point made about 8 days ago, but now it is gone? Is there any way to retrieve it. Also I have done everything I can to fix chrome.

Have you tried just re-installing chrome before you go a do a full system restore?

Restore points are automatically deleted when the reserved system restore space is filled up. So most likely, if it doesn't show it anymore, it's gone.

Yes done all sorts of malware/virus scans and reinstalled about 5 times.

Sorry, I edited my first post. Basically if you don't see the restore point, then it's probably gone. You could try using something like the CCleaner uninstall option that should also clean the registry. Make sure to reboot between the uninstall and reinstall. Other than that, do you get any kind of crash message or log? Or does it just say "chrome has stopped working"?

Thanks for the advice. Chrome will get he's dead jim from stuff like going to the settings tab and extensions will randomly crash. Also is revo uninstaller legit to get rid of reg keys when uninstalling programs or does ccleaner does that?

They should both do that, but I know off the top of my head that CCleaner definitely tries to clear the registry. Next time you install chrome, try not logging into your Google account. It could be some rogue extension that's automatically getting installed.
