Intake fans question

Go to solution Solved by tomas710,

Hi,

Im building new PC in Fractal Design Difine S. I want to purchase 2additional fans (for now). Is it good solution to use included fans on top and back of the case for exhaust and use high quality fans for intake? Right now my choice is Noctua NF P12 PWM, but any recommendations are welcomed. Also will fans be visible through the window? Since my build is red/black I would prefer if they were not. If you know some fans around same price and quality, but black please recommend.

Sorry for my stupid question and thanks in advance!

Fractal design Venturi HPs are good quality black fans, silent wings 2 are good too, NF-F12s industrial ppc are black but they are quiet expensive. A more budget friendly option that's still very good are Enermax T.B. SIlence. I would get 140mm front intake fans, since they can move at slower RPMs for the same airflow, NF-P14s redux are well, not black, but basically the same as the NF-P14s on a grey color scheme. Venturis and silent wings 2 come in 140mm options as well. I would reuse the stick front fan as top or bottom exhaust since they are good fans, just not very powerful, and you want stronger fans on intake. One more 'ugly' option is silverstone AP141s, they are very quiet and have directed airflow which you would benefit from in such an open case.
