PC Wont Turn On Properly

Go to solution Solved by Rashy,

Dayum... Think you can spare some funds for a lower tier card or a second hand card??

I dont know, i think my retailer has a warranty itself, equal product or same product replacement. If they can: YES! MUFFUKKA YEA!, if they cant ill have to waste my GRID Funds. Its a really fun project and a hard one, PM me if you want the docs and stuff, i need a organizer anyways

Answer: GPU Shorted out, ill check in with my retailer since MSI doesnt cover it

So recently i changed my faulty VS550 with a CX600 PSU, because the VS550 canT handle high loads, i crash within a minute in bf4 and dirty bomb. this problem started yesterday, a day after i replaced my PSU.

My PC looks like it wants to turn on but it cant, like theres not enough power, the fan LEDs and Power LEDs flash for a second then turns off, then it tries to turn on again, power loop.

@LarsReviews told me to root out the problem, i removed my GPU and it turned back on and i put the GPU back in, because when i was replacing the PSU i broke a fan MOLEX i didnt bother to pull the fan out so the dangling exposed black and red cables were touching the gpu and shorted it out, "Shortage Protection at its best" -Lars, or so i thought...

Today it wont turn back on so i had to remove the GPU but when i put it back it wont turn on, so now how am i gonna troubleshoot this when i have no display output, my mobo doesnt have any, i pulled out my BBQ Grill, an old HD4850, in just a minute it runs PIPING HOT! So i have limited time and cooldowns on this.

Do you think my GPU shorted out if it did can i warranty it if the fan is chipped an i removed the heatsink previously?!

Specs in Sig~

Think you can swap a different PSU and boot with whatever working graphics card that you have?

Im using my new CX600 with an old BBQ Grill HD4850

im still cruisin on it, but i cant swap right now, because last night i spent 2 hours on cable management.

When the GPU is still in the PCIE its booting fine but when i plug in the 6-pin power, the fans are hardly starting

Im really questioning my whole parts right now, parts are breaking one after another.

i bought the cx with my eid money! thats like my biggest income in a year and my pockets are now dry.

Can i RMA if the fans are chipped and i removed the heatsink previously?

The RMA might cost you... Can you give a pic of the damaged fan and molex connector?

Sounds like something's shorting out the 12V rail/s...

Separate the wires a bit and wrap each with electrical tape individually for now... That thing is outside RMA coverage already...

How did that happen? I had that happen to one of my Gutless Wonder PSUs before (just as I was dismantling it for disposal because it died)...

Oh you must have been confused, i wanted to RMA my GPU, the fan is chipped a little and i removed the heatsink previously for cleaning insides

The case fan that broke was the one i took picture of, the cables were dangling on top of the gpu.
