installation GPU problems

Hello,

 

I'm currently stuck and tried a couple of things to fix the problem.

 

I just bought the Gigabyte R9 290, I inserted it into my system and my fans of my pc, cpu and gpu runs fine but nothing else happens it doesn't even show the bios.

 

I also tried it in my brothers pc and there it worked fine.

 

Motherboad: Intel DC61CR

CPU: i5 2400 @ 3.1 GHz

Memory: 8GB HyperX

PSU: Seasonic S12 II 80 Bronze 520W

 

Help please!

it is pcie x 16 so it must support it

 

You should check graphic selector, maybe it is still set to iGPU

What do you mean by, nothing else happens? 
if you can access the bios, then what happen after the bios check?

What I mean by nothing is, my screen doesn't display anything not even the bios selector and my keyboard's backlight stays off. But when I take it out everything starts up fine.

Thanks for the help my motherboard wasn't compatible with the card maybe because the old one was pcie 2.0 and not 3.0 where the card is pcie 3.0 interface, I replaced it and started up fine only had to repair my windows because it was giving a blue screen when the windows logo started. But everything is back to normal with great improvements.
