no, check your storage partitions, if you use windows 8.1 use the search bar and type in "partition" click "create and format hard drive partitions"

the you'll see a grey-ed out section, thats your HDD, double click it and set it as a hard drive

in windows 7 go to the search bar in control panel and type in "partition" and Adminstrative tools should come up click the Create and Format Hard Disk Partitions

this window should pop up

this just double click the grey bar, should be named Disk 1 or something like that, you'll know which one because it will have the 3TB under it

 

and just click next and so on, you can name and chose which letter the drive is
