Beginner at Water Cooling

Hey guys!

So i've watched a million water cooling videos, and i'm also an almost engineer so I understand what i'm doing (to an extent) and I think i'm just about ready as i'll ever be with doing my first water cooling loop. The problem is, I really don't know how to go about picking my parts. I don't really have many preferences, but I have two specifications I would really like to see in my loop.

1) i wanna be able to see water move through the CPU block if possible (i think it is)

2) I wanna put in a tallish resevoir so it looks somewhat elegant.

Also how should I go about picking out my fittings and pump?

It's going to be an intel CPU and i'm not going to attempt to water cool my graphics card just yet.

1. This waterblock is really good and see through https://shop.ekwb.com/ek-supremacy-evo-nickel

2. You can chose whichever reservoir you want. There are many choices of size and shape. It looks like you want a tall cylindrical res.

About the fittings, Bitspower makes amazing fittings but are a bit more expensive than other brands. I recommend choosing 3/8 5/8 compression fittings. And about the pump, depending on how complex your loop will be, you can't go wrong with a D5 Vario. If you're only cooling the CPU though, you can get away with a DDC. But I'd still recommend the D5 Vario pumps for future expandability.

If i went with a D5 Vario, that would probably accommodate a watercooled GPU later in the future, right?

that water block is exactly what i'm looking for! and yeah im looking for taller, cylindrical resevoirs. there isn't anything special i should consider about that?

About the D5, yes.. About the reservoir, not really. Chose whichever one you like. I am using this one currently: https://shop.ekwb.com/ek-res-x3-250
