First Build - Case + Lighting/Cooling Setup

Hey guys, a little bit torn on a which case/cooling setup to choose. Initially I was going with the Corsair Spec-02 + CM evo 212, but people were saying that the cooler doesn't fit inside, or if it does it's a super tight fit. So I was thinking that I'll either go with the Spec-02 + Corsair H50 cooler, or keep the evo and go with a more expensive case --- e.g the Nzxt Phantom 410. I'm also considering which extra fans to use in the case + LED lighting. I want to give it the best look I can for being a budget first build. Any tips?

I made you this since your bugdet seemed around it :D Even got you a Define R4! And do you really need an Optical drive? Also keep in mind that the 250GB SSD will run out of space really qick with just a few games.

Thanks for the replies Fate.=}

The build is actually for my brother; it's his first pc and he's pretty pumped, but he's not an enthusiast gamer at the moment. He basically wants a budget pc that can play games like LoL on max 1080p, and possibly 1440p. The 750ti seemed like a good compromise for the price, until he can upgrade next year. Hmm I don't know if the optical drive is necessary atm.

Taking a look at the changed out parts (I already ordered the CPU and SSD though, so I can't change for the PNY ssd). I like the Define R4! Although I was showing him cases and he seems to want a transparent side panel (like in the phantom 410 etc).

For the motherboard some people had suggested for me to pick the current one (or the ATX board vs mATX). Aren't z97 boards for k series CPUS, for overclocking?
