Hey guys, I need some advice on this build, and would love some help especially with monitor selection.

I am wanting to build a PC for (front-end) web development and gaming. My goal is to play games at 4K, but I have read several articles about how text editors (like brackets and sublime text 3 in my case) can be difficult on the eyes.

The monitor on my laptop is 15.4" and I run my text editor and browser side by side. It bothers me when I type longer lines of code and the structure doesn't look so beautiful compared to full screen. I would prefer to have a dual monitor setup, one for the text editor and one for the browser. Also, I would prefer the text editor monitor to run vertically, but this is not necessary. I also have thought about just using a larger monitor as well.

I do freelance web development, so I don't have a team of other developers to talk to about this setup. I have worked with a dual monitor setup in the past and loved it. If you were in my situation, what would you do?

Also, I play on PS4 because that's what my friends play, but I am ready to get back to playing on the PC. My online PC gaming days started with the original Delta Force and ended with BF2 with a lot of other games in between. SOCOM 2 on PS2 is what made all my friends and I switch to console. It was that good. I could say H-Hour ( the SOCOM successor) is one small reason why I want to switch back to PC gaming. I am ready for the ultimate upgrade.

Below is what I have planned out so far for my setup.

Thanks!

Also, how come when I go to Web Dev meet ups almost everyone is on a Mac?

I'm a front & backend Web Developer as well as an Avid Gamer. I bought before 980Tis were a thing so I'm going 980SLI and sticking with a 1440p screen though, Scaling sucks so 25-27'' QWHD is the best imho.
