First PC build. Help pls

Hey there everyone,

I am new to the PC building community and I'm looking for some help with choosing components for my first build. I am on a budget of around $500-600 USD, and would prefer to have a red and black theme with a side windowed case, but can compromise. This build will be used for gaming mostly. Thanks in advance for the help.

for your budget i would keep the keyboard and upgrade it later when you have the money to, and is you mouse wired?

The mouse is not, but it'll work for the time being until I get a little bit more spending money

I like that list, but I was hoping for a little bit more on the motherboard side. Any suggestions? (I plan to do a slight overclock on the CPU)

would be willing to say 30 to 40 over budget? if yes then sure but otherwise this is the best way to go. if you have a monitor i would stick with it so you could get an i5

it costs more, i am not counting rebates anyway as the final price.

Thanks for your help guys! I'll be sure to post pictures and everything once it's built. It wont be for a while, but I figured I'd start researching.
