GPU Acceleration for youtube

Hi, so when i watch any youtube video in 480p or higher, i get slightly slower framerates in the video and 100% cpu usage, but the graphics usage is 0%. I have a dell XPS m1710 (2006) with a 2.16GHz dual core intel cpu and a geforce go 7900gs. Is it possible to use GPU Acceleration or something like that instead of having the CPU do all the work and have the GPU do none?

Are you using HTML5 as your default or Adobe Flash?

also the same happens with ads. this laptop always has high cpu usage when firefox is open, unless a simple web page is open like a search engine.

i have firefox and the html5 player, I'll try the flash player.

i dont see a way to use the flash player. there should be a use the default player button but there isn't.

I just found a plugin that forces youtube to use flash player, its much more smooth now.
