Will my build work?

Go to solution Solved by Ketcchup,

Maybe an I3 then? I don't play battlefield, or really any AAA games so i am not sure I need a super powerful rig

Then there's no point getting a 270x, specially when it won't support DX12.

For this budget CPUs R7 260x or 750ti are perfect. And then get the i3, you will regret it later as it becomes obsolete much much earlier than i3

Hey guys, so I am looking into doing a $600 AUD PC build. I am using a local store because it is pretty cheap and has everything I need.

Here is the link to my parts list http://www.pccasegear.com/sc/cr8

I already have the OS and drives.

I just want to make sure everything will work.

Feel free to leave any tips, thanks

EDIT - I am planning to Overclock the CPU, and that asrock board that supports CFX, but I am not sure that the case would fit a second gpu in the bottom pcie slot, if i decided to upgrade later.

Pentium G3258 will give you stuttering and low fps. Get Athlon860K + Asus a88xm-plus or i3 4130/4160

edit: leaving a better copypaste for future people

Oh boy, Pentium G3258 spotted, time to save this guy's money.

Guys complaining about BF4 stuttering.

Hey guys, I just downloaded Bf4, I played on high settings, It´s smooth, but it stutters a lot, any help pls?

I have my G3258 at 4.4 and Bf4 stutters and crashes so much the game is unplayable. It often crashes.  Any way to get cpu load down? It sits at 90 when I play.

I understand a dual core processor was not recommended, and i'm not here to moan about my game stuttering, but some people with the g3258 are not experiencing stuttering and I'd like to know their system specifications and driver versions to find out the source of the problem.

So people with the G3258 in their system, share your specs.

Dragon Age Inquisition doesn't run that great. I get 40-50 fps on low with my 280x and 30 fps on medium/high, but unfortunately every 5-10 seconds my game stutters and freezes for (1-5 secs.) This is when it reaches 100% load on both cores. I think the game wants more threads for that. If it weren't for the stuttering the game would run great, even at medium-high. But unfortunately it is unplayable otherwise. I've been playing the game on my old laptop which has a 4 threaded 2 core i5 (460m), on low setings 20-30 fps, but I would love to play it on my desktop without the stuttering.

AND you can find more cases in google just googling "g3258 stuttering help"

There might be a bit of a bottleneck with the Pentium, especially if not overclocked. But other than that it should be fine

edit: watch dogs too

edit2: yeah, DX12 will come with 6+ core usage and then the stuttering will be insane
