Switching Hard Drive

I'm planing on a new build and i was wondering if i would be able to change the Hard drive that i have now which does not have the Windows OS installed on it, but all my games/ music/ pictures etc. If i could put that Hard Drive into my new build and i will still have all my Files?

yes you will have all your files, i have done it before, sometimes they don't really like to get along in the boot manager if you have a different os on it, so it might not be wise to install it until after the system is finish. (you can't install windows if there is a bootable harddrive already in the system, but just a storage harddrive would be fine.)
