I have the lenovo K450 and I'm wondering if I can add an MSI GTX 960 without replacing the power supply (280 watts)

I would say yes. If you check out the PCPer review they are using one in a system with a 3960X and it's using 228W under load. The 4770 in the K450 will use a fair bit less power than a 3960X so you should be fine. Lenovo selling a "gaming pc" with a 280W PSU is a bit silly though. Might be a little bit tight, so I probably wouldn't try overclocking the hell out of it.
