Asus ve248q

I recently finished my build with a gtx 970. When I try to connect displayport to my asus ve248q it says there is no signal detected but hmdi works just fine. I tried unplugging the power and the cable from both the card and display but nothing worked. Any suggestions for this?

presumably you've tried the hdmi cable with a different monitor to make sure it works? had so many cheap hdmi cables just stop working, some of those 1-2£ ones work fine some are just somewhat crap, but ones that work, work just as good and are quite reliable

 

also try a different input if you can, maybe the hdmi port is faulty or something, trouble shoot a bit, another cable, different input etc. try a different device if you can(phone tablet etc. if you have anything handy or another pc?)

Sorry i meant the displayport wont work although hdmi works just fine.
