So my current rig is:

  • CPU
    AMD FX 8350 (stock cooler)
  • Motherboard
    Gigabyte 970A-DS3P
  • RAM
    Kingston FuryX 1666mhz DDR3 8gb (2x4gb)
  • GPU
    Gigbyte R9 280x
  • Case
    Corsair 200R
  • Storage
    OCZ SSD 60gb + WD 1TB
  • PSU
    Thermaltake SmartSE 730w
  • Display(s)
    LG 22M45D-B 21.5"
  • Operating System
    Windows 8.1

It's okay, but there is definitely room for an upgrade. I'm thinking, water cooling, oc the cpu, and add another r9 280x crossfire. Also, desperate need for monitor upgrade, preferably a triple monitor setup, either 1080p or 1440p. My budget is about 1k to 1.5k euros (I live in Greece). Be creative and thank you in advance.

EDIT:
Currently I'm rocking my LG display mentioned above and another shitty samsung monitor on the side. Productivity in editing is a huge factor for me, that's why a triple monitor setup sounds ideal. Ofc gaming is important as well.

Mobo: Gigabyte 970A-DS3P CPU: AMD FX 8350 RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury DDR3 8gb (2x4gb@1600Mhz) GPU: Gigabyte R9 280x (factory oc) PSU: Thermaltake SmartSE 730w Case: Corsair 200R

amd cpus cant handle crossfire/SLI, also for oc'ing you should have a 990fx mobo

Get more RAM. 8 Gb is good.

https://au.pcpartpicker.com/part/kingston-memory-hx318c10frk28That's good Ram for the price and it comes in different colours. You could just get another stick of your current ram to save money though.

Definitely get another 280X.

This sorta sounds pricey but you could get a 4690K and a LGA1150 Asus Z97 motherboard with Crossfire support...

Here's a 4690K and a good Z97 motherboard.

4690K: https://pcpartpicker.com/part/intel-cpu-bx80646i54690k

Motherboard: https://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-z97a

The H55 is a good budget yet effective water cooler. You won't be able to pull off any good overclocks with it though. You could get a Kraken or H100i but they're more expensive

H100i: https://pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-cpu-cooler-h100i

That's all I can think of.

 My Buyer’s Guide!

Build:

Well, pretty solid picks, I will definitely consider going that route, one thing I did not understand though. Why should I upgrade to 16gb of RAM besides for more editing performance? Isn't 8gb sufficient for gaming?

EDIT:

Pretty sure you though I have 4gb of RAM, my post was sort of misleading regarding the RAM tbh.
