What is a $100-$200 AUS windows or android Phone that i cuold get looking to upgrade but i dont need all the features of a expensive phone. Something unlocked and that can take a standard sized sim card.

Standard SIM size shouldn't really matter as you can cut it down to Micro-SIM size. On the Windows Phone front, your best bet for that price range would be a Lumia 520 or Lumia 620.

HK6 is right, you can cut any SIM down. I walked into my local AT&T store and they cut down my AT&T SIM along with my T-Mobile one for free. Alternatively, SIM cutters are available on Amazon for less than $5.

For a budget unlocked Android Phone, I would go with the Nexus 4. Quad-core, 2GB RAM, 720p display, wireless charging, runs stock Android, and you can root/ROM easily. With root you can make it an LTE device.

It is 300 USD for the 8GB one, but I would strongly recommend paying 50 USD more for the 16GB version.

You Australians have too pay way too much for electronics.

Well I was seriously considering getting the Nexus 4 but its $349 AUS for the 8Gb version and $400 for the 16Gb version, so im probably going to get the Nokia Lumia 520 cause its only $169 AUS
