Computer having trouble with Microphones

Hello all,

 

I've been having trouble with microphones on this computer ever since I built it. The microphone is a Blue Snowball that I've had for years, it works on both my other build and the computer that this build replaced. What has been happening is that the mic will just randomly stop working, I'll be in the middle of talking in mumble or skype and all of a sudden the other people cannot hear me, the red light on the mic is still on though. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalled the USB Audio Class 1.0 and 2.0 DAC Device Driver multiple times to no success. The only thing that seems to work is keep the microphone in constant use as long as possible, and if it does turn off I have to keep trying to unplug it and plug it back in.
