Hyperx Cloud Pros VS Cloud IIs

I am looking into selling my Logitech G930s (bad audio quality, many connection problems) and then purchasing either the Cloud Pros or the Cloud IIs. I was wondering if anyone knows the difference (besides prices) between the two.

The cloud 2s come with a USB audio dac that provides simulated 7.1 surround sound and mic control. Other than that, they are exactly the same in every way. If you do not care for the detachable dac then I would recommend the Pros as they are much cheaper now and are in fact the same headset. I currently have the Cloud 2s and I love them but the dac is not necessary if you already have an excellent dac or sound card.

The cables and the usb dongle. 

 

Cloud 1 has separate headphone and mic cables and no usb dongle

Cloud 2 has one cable for headphone and mic and usb dongle. It also comes with an adapter to split that one cable into two so you can use is with a regular soundcard

 

If you really want to know, look at the reviews/unboxings on youtube. I think HardwareCanucks shows the differences between the two. JayzTwoCents also does a good job of talking about the differences

Well its if you need/want the USB dac. The Mic did also change but I havnt heard a sound comparison between the two.

@weez cant read your post on dark theme. Does HardwareCanucks compare the mic's on the same input.
