h100i vs custom water loop ?

Go to solution Solved by THECREEPER,

i have space for 120rad in 240 in the front 240 in the bottom and 360 on top........ if i filled up all of them with rads will i see any pef gain ???

Thats a lot of liquid thats being spaced out, and the fluid can only get so cold when its moved through all of those rads. I don't think you will see a performance gain.

Considering the cost and lack of maintenance an H100i requires, I don't think you would see any significant changes that are worth the extra money and time that will be spent in installing a custom loop.

lets say im running my i7 980x @4.8ghz at 1.6vcore on the h100i i saw max temp of 92c with idle of 32, when gaming around 60s will is see any diff ???

No I don't think so. The H100i has a 240mm rad correct? And you are wanting to add a 360mm rad. An extra 120mm of rad isn't gonna change anything. Now if you added a 540mm rad then you might see a significant difference. But the temps you are showing here seem fine, so unless you want a cool looking custom loop and have some extra cash laying around I don't see the point in making a whole new loop since nothing is really broken.
