I am planning to use an optical cord for my audio. I will only use the av receiver for auido, i will connect my monitor to my motherboard. Which receiver is better http://www.amazon.com/Denon-AVR-S500BT-Receiver-Capability-Bluetooth/dp/B00JR6GJLW/ref=sr_1_9?ie=UTF8&qid=1427988676&sr=8-9&keywords=AV+RECEIVERor http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00JXGUETO/ref=s9_simh_gw_p23_d0_i2?pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=desktop-1&pf_rd_r=1ER42P8STGDR00WX1KD4&pf_rd_t=36701&pf_rd_p=1970559082&pf_rd_i=desktop. Both will sound the same. Pick the one that has the features you need. Me personally, I would go with the Denon but that just because I dont trust Onkyo

PC Audio Setup = Beyerdynamic DT 770 pro 80 ohm and Sennheiser pc37x (also for xbox) hooked up to Schiit Fulla 3

I used to do a lot of AV flipping and have owned examples from all the major manufacturers over years.  The brand that shows up in my personal AV rack the most?  Yamaha.

This is the one I would buy with that budget:  http://www.amazon.com/Yamaha-RX-V377-5-1-Channel-Theater-Receiver/dp/B00HZE2WW8

Although the Onkyo is intriguing for it's DSD capability...

Not by itself.  You have to purchase the optional YBA-11 attachment.

Go with the one that has the features you want. The sound quality will be (or should be) the same between the two. Both are equally good :)
