So I have a question for any Xbox One owners on here; have any of you used an external hard drive on your Xbox One to remedy that meager 500 GB hard drive and run into an issue where the games run fine and then after an update they no longer work unless you install them on the internal storage? In the past two days three of my games (Far Cry 4, Grand Theft Auto V and Halo: MCC) have given me error codes saying that the games have failed to start soon enough and then they were aborted. I remedied this by moving them to the primary drive but seeing as I only have 20 GB's left I am worried that I will have to spend money on a new external drive. Now the external drive I am using is a little older (bought it in 2012) but it is USB 3.0 and is 500 GB before being formatted. Is there a reason why it's all of a sudden acting up like this, do I need to replace it? I only use it on the Xbox and it sits in one spot all day right next to the console. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it.
