Dell Motherboard.

Go to solution Solved by QueenDemetria,

I'm mostly concerned about the 24 pin connector, as I've heard that they use a different connector.

Some Dell's use proprietary power supplies, but yours doesn't. Its just the motherboard that is proprietary(and the case, but the power supply will mount fine).

So there's a dell XPS 420 I need to repair, do any of you happen to know if this specific model has regular atx form factor connections for a new power supply, as the one in it is currently errr, dead.

Do you need to replace the power supply or the motherboard? If its the power supply then any standard ATX power supply should work, since all of the connectors are the same and it has the same mounting pattern. If you need to replace the motherboard, then the only one you can replace it with is a motherboard from another Dell XSP 420. The motherboard is a custom form form factor from dell, so off the shelf parts won't fit.

So something like a cx430 should work?
