you need to provide more information such what you are generally looking to use it for (games, work, internet) and what size you want (screen size and ultrabook or not) also does it need to be touch screen or are you ok with it just being mouse and keyboard.

MacBook Air?

DON'T! As for windows ultrabooks, they are just slowly trickeling out. There are some great Ivy Bridge ultrabooks in that price range that are way better than the MacBook Air. You have options with discrete graphics, which will be nice if you do some light gaming, and most windows ultrabooks around that price have Full HD displays. I find the displays on the Air to be bad in comparison with the windows options and I think you should really lean towards the windows options, which have beaten the Air in every way in my eyes.

However, many Haswell Windows ultrabooks haven't been released yet. You might be better off waiting a little while. Asus has their new Zenbooks, Sony has released their Vaio Pro notebooks with Haswell already, take a look at those, and I'm guessing they will be selling more Haswell ultrabooks, Acer is offering some exciting new notebooks as well,...

If you can't wait, check out the Samsung Series 7 Ultra or Series 9 Ultra, the Zenbooks that are already released by Asus or that pro-level ultrabook that Asus is offering.
