can't install Windows 8.1

So I helped a friend with building his pc but he get's an error messege while installing windows 8.1 64bit (see picture) from a cdrom. This happens while the files are installing. does anyone know why this is happening and how to prevent it? it says there is an Machine-check exception. 

 

specs: cpu intel i7 5820k

        mobo MSI x99 SLI PLUS

         RAM Crucial 16 GB DDR4-2133 Quad-Kit

        PSU Seasonic M12II 850 watt EVO

         GPU EVGA gtx 980

        SSD ADATA Premier Pro SP920

bios version: unknown

ps: I don't have physical acces tpo the pc right now so keep that in mind

Check your temperatures in the BIOS.

Then if they are fine boot into a version of Linux and see if everything runs fine.

If you are still having no problem at this point try and install Windows again.

 

Also before you launch Linux try and install windows one more time and see if it works.

Check your temperatures in the BIOS.

Then if they are fine boot into a version of Linux and see if everything runs fine.

If you are still having no problem at this point try and install Windows again.

 

Also before you launch Linux try and install windows one more time and see if it works.

^ This. The CPU cooler may not be seated properly and might need to be reinstalled.

last time i checked the temperature got up to 43 degrees in the bios while spinning at 500 rpm.

My friend is using a Bequiet! dark rock 3.

Yep, what tmlhalo said, i dont think the temps are the problem, instead check the RAM using 1 stick at a time if that doesnt solve it, reinstall windows, you´ve got no info to loose and windows installation on a SSD is what, 5 minutes in total?
