Back-up or nah?

I have succesfully installed Windows 10 inside Virtualbox, but I am going to try dual booting between Windows 8.1 and 10.

Since I've succesfully installed it in Virtualbox, I feel pretty confident to dual boot it.

Should I take my time to back-up my storage, which is about 400 gb on my 1tb hard drive?

Or is there basically no risk in doing this?

For the peace of mind it may be worth backing up, as it's better to be safe than sorry.

The risk of anything happening as a result of dual booting is minimal though.

Always do backups, no matter what.

It's a giant time saver if for any reason your HDD/SSD fails.
