So I was hoping to make an impromptu little home server with an old computer, but I had taken it apart when I knew nothing about computers.  Just recently I plugged everything back in and cable managed it a bit, and now I don't get video output.  The computer in question is a Gateway FX510.  The gpu in the machine is a GeForce 7800 GTX (I think) and it doesn't seem to have a 6/8 pin power connector, or any connector.  The computer DOES turn on and the fans start spinning and I'm pretty sure I can feet the HDD vibrating, but nothing comes of the monitor with VGA plugged in.  I don't THINK the gpu is fried but it might be.  Anyways, any ideas?  Thanks!  :D

EDIT:  There is a large ribbon-type cable that used to be in the computer.  It doesn't seem to plug into anything but two ports on the mobo, and it was not needed to plug in everything to the mobo, so it is not in the computer currently.  Could that have anything to do with it?

What output are you using?

Try a different monitor?

the monitor does work, I was using it with another computer, with vga plugged in, just yesterday.
