Mythtv for Mac

Is it just me or is it incredibly hard it setup mythtv on a mac? I've been trying for days/hours and I can't figure it out. Im runnning mav os and have a hdhomerun prime. Anyone have any suggestions on how to set it up? I have looked in the mac ports wiki and it might as well say gcdxfhvjbknlmkbdfxcghvbj,k,mnbccfgvhbjknjghvf bnbghvngvb
