Tablet for reading ebooks

I'm looking for an Android tablet to use for reading ebooks. Is there anything I should be aware of before choosing what to get?

Like:

- screen type?

- screen size?

If you have any suggestions that would be great (around 300$ or so)

I don't know much about e-readers, but any device with e-ink is probably your best bet. Little eye strain, long battery life. 

 

And the screen size is right only if it's right for you. I personally read books on my 5" LCD phone display and have no problems with eyes or screen size. But I guess some people wouldn't like that.

But if you'll use it for more than reading, I'd recommend nexus 7, LG G Pad or maybe Nvidia tablet. They're all in 7-8 inch, sub-300$ area and are perfect for the job.

Thanks considering I'd like to play a bit Hearthstone I went with the shield tablet. Pretty happy with it so far. Reading on it works surprisingly well

I would suggest Google Nexus 7 and Sony Xperia Tablet Z.
