Headphone buzzing while playing games

Hello Linus tech tips community. I have been having a problem. I built my computer about a year ago and everyone is going fine expect for one thing, when ever I play a game I hear a buzzing noise in my headphones. I have tried testing with many pairs and I have always heard it. I play games like bf4 and tf2 and I heard the noise in both these games. The headphones that I am currently using are audio technia ath m50x. The tone of the buzzing changes with what screen im on. For example the tone of the buzzing is different when im in the menu and when im actually playing. My cording is kinda mess so it might be a hardware thing of software. Any help of recomindations would be super helpful. thanks

My system specs

windows 8

GTX 760

most likely interference from power as you said different frequencies generally as your gpu pulls more power more emi is given off, try moving the power cables in your case while you hear the sound.

Are you plugging them directly into your motherboard's audio port, or via a sound card?

Shot through the heart and you're to blame, 30fps and i'll pirate your game - Bon Jovi

Take me down to the console city where the games are blurry and the frames are thirty - Guns N' Roses

If you're plugging them into the back of your mobo and still getting buzzing, the next step is to get an external DAC.

Look into Syba DAC or the FiiO E6, both are good options for not a lot of money.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X - CPU Cooler: Deepcool Castle 240EX - Motherboard: MSI B450 GAMING PRO CARBON AC

RAM: 2 x 8GB Corsair Vengeance Pro RBG 3200MHz - GPU: MSI RTX 3080 GAMING X TRIO

Thanks. I was thinking about doing this. Finally I have a good reason. Thanks everyone for the help.
