Extreme windows lag

Fresh windows 8.1 64bit install on my latest rig.

 

 

fx-6300

16gb 1600mhz ram

gigabyte 78LMT-USB3 motherboard

Corsair GS powersupply

Sapphire 7970 dual x

corsair h55

OS installed on 120gb corsair neutron ssd

 

 

First boot, windows was extremely slow, like press start and it will hang for 2 minutes before opening. 

 

Finally got all the drivers installed to the latest version and am still having this issue. 

 

 

 

Anyone got any ideas?

Installed on a new drive? HDD could be failing/faulty.

Booted elementary from a flash drive. Worked fine. 

 

SSD must be dead :(
