I'm running my 1366x768 TV at 1080P for the added sharpness, but i'm noticing that a lot of my games are oversampling the image. 16:9 should simply be 19:, right, so why am i getting scaling issues when going from 16:9 resolution to another? Can i fix this? if so, how?

Games that cause this issue:
CS:GO
Metal Gear Rising (I have yet to install the fix for the 24Hz bug)
Burnout Paradise
Skullgirls
You Have To Win The Game
The Hidden Beta
BFBC2
CoD:W@W
Left 4 Dead 2
And more

Games that DON'T have the issue:
Minecraft
MK9
Skyrim
Fallout 3 and NV
AA:PG (I think)
And a few more

Are you using the build in DSR from nVidia?

Should work with Fermi cards without problems.

1366x768 is also 16:9 so if you are downscaling from 1920x1080 there should be no problem.

Can you post screenshots/pictures, that show the issue in detail?

change the aspect ratio in the game (if aviable) if not you can change the way the graphicscard scales to the monitor with nvidia control center (you´ll find it)

I've tried and it only helped with games that scaled as well as the desktop (the ones that don't have the issue)

If i used it as DSR rather than a custom res, the desktop is oversampled.

You can check the DSR factor in the nvidia control panel, that comes most likely to 1080p and just set the resolution ingame not for the desktop.

This way, your desktop should still be 1366x768.

So but your main problem is overscanning not oversampling, right? (not the whole picture is displayd)

Maybe you can set it in the options of your television, but that would also affect you low resolutions i guess.

The nvidia control panel should also have options for overscanning.

Should be under Resolution -> Scaling

Make sure to check "Override the scaling mode set by games and programs" box and try different scaling modes.

DSR factors are turned off so that my desktop can be 1080P like i want it to be.

There isn't an option for that on my TV

It's under Adjust Desktop Size and Position. I already had that enabled to get it to work on the desktop and aspect ratio is the only thing that doesn't overscan. I am now trying, however, telling it to underscan in the size section. i'll let you know how it works

EDIT: it didn't work
