Hi guys, i am currently fixing my friends laptop and realized that his hard drive is way too slow. I want to add a normal size SSD in the optical drive.

Because he doesnt have mSATA slot for small SSD i have to insert the SSD with the optical drive slot.

Laptop: Lenovo IdeaPad P580

I was wondering which adapter works with this laptop.

You should make sure the Optical Bay port is not dumbed down to SATA I, if so then install the SSD in the drive spot and the HDD in the optical bay.

Do a search, there's a company that sells them for a few different brands, I forget the one I've used as it wasn't my laptop, if I find it I'll post it.

I roll with sigs off so I have no idea what you're advertising.

This is NOT the signature you are looking for.

Here you go: http://www.pro-battery.com/battery-detail.asp?id=1489

Not the same company I bought from before but made for your ("friends") laptop.
