^ this. The Z77 platform is dead and there is no point in going with that platform at this point. What is your max budget for mobo + CPU and what will you be doing on your computer?

Max price for 1150 would be £55 (can be used) and for 1155 £100

But can you be more specific about that budget?

You allready own a sandy / ivy cpu?

I found this, what do you think, it's z87 http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/offer-listing/B00CUYOW80/ref=sr_1_3_olp?s=computers&ie=UTF8&qid=1418680663&sr=1-3&keywords=m5&condition=used

there's not much difference between z87 and z97

Buying a used mobo can offcourse allways be tricky.

But basicly i think that mobo will be totaly fine, only a few issues with the stock bios asfar as i have readed about it.

But thats not an unkown issue with Gigabyte in general. Bios updates offcourse availeble to fix that.

Also the stock killer lan drivers are not working well with windows 8.x, but offcourse you need to download latest drivers from Gigabyte website anyway.

The only thing i will highly recommend to NOT use a devils canyon cpu (4690k) on this board.

Because the bios doesnt realy work well with DC cpu´s

If you go with this particular board, i would highly recommend to go with a 4670K
