Does the evga 970 ftw have problems?

Does the ftw edition have problems and if it does can you list them. Does it have the same problems that the last 970 had?

You mean coil whine? It's always possible.

Yeah there is a chance at coil whine, the 900 series seems to be worse on average so I wouldn't bank on the FTW having any less than the others, I got my G1 with no coil whine and I was lucky, other people seem to be able to fix it by leaving a games main menu open for a night. Other than that though there probably won't be much of a difference in the chance of getting coil whine

Yeah, I've heard of others doing stress tests for a few hours to fix it, and others enabling adaptive vsync to fix it.

As an owner of one I can honestly say that coil whine is the only issue, and even then that's luck of the draw, or lack of which.

Bought two a week ago.  Both have pretty bad coil whine.  Tried burning in and overvolting.  No luck.  Wife said it doesn't bother her, but it bothers me.  RMAing mine with NewEgg tomorrow.
