Good two channel mixer

I play a lot of xbox and I use my computer to talk to my friends a lot and using other things whether it be videos or music at the same time, and a friend told me I should get a mixer (and not a y-splitter cable for reasons I forget). Was wondering if anyone knew of any nice two channel mixers out there with XLR mic slots because I am also thinking about picking up and xlr mic in the future.

 

One other thing, I'll need some male to male 3.5mm to RCA cables so some good recommendations on that would be nice, or I could just pick up any old cable? Thanks in advanced guys!
