I have an all in one printer plugged into my Asus router, but I am unable to utilize the scanner.  My research has proved futile ;)

The suggestions I did find involved using Linux and some convoluted process using some custom firmware.  The other suggestion was to plug it into another machine and RDP into it, but if I was to do that I would need to disconnect it from my router as I am using the USB functionality and the network printing function would then cease to exist.

Does anyone have any suggestions?
