I have a Dell Keyboard (and PC) for work and the new keyboard has a "Sleep" key on it.  Traditionally I just disable it so if I happen to hit it by mistake, nothing happens.  I was curious to know if it were possible to reconfigure the key so that instead of it putting the computer to sleep, it simply locks the computer.

I'd rather not install additional software IF possible.

Don't think it is possible without additional software, but something like sharpkeys should work for you http://sharpkeys.codeplex.com/

Ehh I was afraid of that.  I tried the SharpKeys program.  It recognizes almost every key stroke from my keyboard.  Of course the couple keys it didn't notice/recognize was the Sleep Key.  Thanks for the idea though.
