So currently I am Looking into building a computer (it is in my signature)  but I don't know if I could go lower and still be around the performance of the one I am planning. Please get it as low as you can. Preferably under 1000 with windows and no peripherals.

Team Xtreem 2666 cas 11 is only $80 for 2X4GB on Newegg and $150 for 2X8GB. Given the amazing specs for the price, you'd be crazy not to buy it. It's quite a deal for good RAM. Team is a trusted name in RAM. Don't shy away because they are less known than Geil, Corsair, or G skill.

 

Do you need 750W PSU? Nope. 550W would be my suggestion like a nice Seasonic G series. If you plan on adding a second 290 in the future, 750-850W would be good.
